If you wish to integrate the Drake Software’s CALL screen options into your tax preparer’s standard workflow you may follow the instructions on this page to complete the configuration. By following these setup instructions you can ensure the message page will trap the return if you open the CALL screen and don’t select a “Consent to Disclosure” field or you may choose to ensure each prepare has to navigate to the CALL screen on every return to complete the Tax Return.
Drake Software includes a Global Field Flagging feature which allows the Drake Software administrator to setup certain fields which must be handled or visited by Tax Preparers before a Tax Return is considered complete. To activate these settings choose setup and then options from the main menu. From the Setup Options screen choose the Administrative Options tab. From the Administrative Options tab select the checkbox “Use customized flagged fields on all returns” and hit the Flag button.
On the Flag Fields for Returns dialog choose the 1040 –individual button.
From the Flag Fields for Review screen either type "CALL" or choose the CALL screen from the miscellaneous tab. From the CALL screen right click on the fields and choose either Flag for Review when screen is created or Flag for review when the Return is created.
Exit out of the dialogs to save your new settings and test.
