What tax preparation software does your service support?

Currently we support Drake Software with its award winning line of products for tax professionals.

Why do you only support Drake Software? Do you plan to support others?

Drake Software has the most popular line of products for tax professionals. If you use another tax preparation software product and you would like us to add support please use the contact us form to tell us.

Do you sell my customer's information or use it in other ways?

The Service

How do you get my E-File and Bank Product information?

Once enrolled, you will create one or more Office locations which each map to a specific EFIN. These EFINs are then used to synchronize tax return data from Drake Software. Please see our How it Works page for more information.

If I choose the free service (Silver) can I later switch to one of the paid services?

Yes, we do not lock you into a plan. You may enroll in any plan today and then change plans as your business needs change.

How do I provide my customer contact information to TaxPoint?

If your customer has chosen to use phone call, text message, or email to be notified about the status of their tax return, Drake Software has added a Call screen which will allow your preparers to collect this information at the time the return is being prepared.

Why are my client's tax returns now showing up within TaxPoint?

Drake Software will only transmit tax return information to TaxPoint when the following two conditions are true, a)You have provided a valid EFIN to TaxPoint by creating an Office, and b) by using the Call Screen within Drake Software and specifing your customer has approved to have his or her information transmitted to TaxPoint.

How can I force my tax preparers to complete the CALL screen before completing a tax return?

Drake Software allows for this configuration, pelase follow these instructions to properly setup the Drake Software.

Billing

How will I be billed for this service?

If you enroll in either the Gold or Platinum plans you will be asked to supply a credit card which will be charged at the end of each month during tax season based on the total of new E-File and Bank products for that month. What if I already pre-paid one of your competitors for their service this year?

While we cannot get you your money back we can assist with a competitive price discount. Please email our sales group or use our contact us form for more details.
